Project Details:
Mass timber has rapidly gained momentum as a viable alternative to conventional construction materials, presenting one of the best routes to a future that is more environmentally friendly and sustainable while also having the potential to boost the local economy. A growing category of engineered wood products that outperform conventional lumber in terms of structural strength and durability is referred to as mass timber.
This research will apply a business ecosystem approach to provide insights to the collaboration of mass timber constructions in the southeastern U.S., the “wood basket” of the U.S. By its nature, the study will be interdisciplinary (e.g., forest business, architecture, engineering). Therefore, applications are accepted from diverse disciplinary backgrounds.
