Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- Be enrolled in a course at the University of Melbourne. Students undertaking a single subject or a non-award course (e.g. study abroad or exchange) are not eligible.
- Be paying rent or board. Students paying mortgages are not eligible.
Selection criteria
Eligible applicants are selected on the basis of financial need and the following conditions:
- You must be enrolled in a course at the University of Melbourne. Payments will cease cease if you complete, discontinue or take leave from your course, or if your enrolment is suspended or withdrawn by the University.
- This scholarship cannot be deferred to the following academic year
- You must provide a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship (when requested) and agree to the University sharing the report, your name and course details to the donor of this scholarship.
Application process
If you have submitted an application for the Student Grants you will be automatically considered for this scholarship.

What are the benefits?
An allowance of $2,500 for one year, paid in quarterly instalments in April, June, September and November.
